Monday: Read and reflect on the guiding questions for the module. Talk about them with your family. How do they make you feel? Why? What do they make you think about? Write about your reflections.
Tuesday: While you are doing your independent reading tonight, write the gist down for each page on a post-it note. Use the gist to help you write a brief summary of what you read. Remember you should read for at least 20 minutes.
Wednesday: Read the attached passage. What is the theme? Write a summary of the passage and talk about the possible theme and how you know.
Thursday: Circle the words in the poem that create imagery. Use the imagery in this poem to sketch a picture of what you imagine in your head while reading.
Friday: Use each vocabulary word in its own sentence.
